About Me
Manuel Rosa
I'm an Information Systems student at the University of Cincinnati with a strong focus on data science and analytics. I’ve applied these skills through hands-on projects and worked with real business datasets from companies like Intel and the Grammys. Alongside my data skillset, I have a background in front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React to build modern, web applications for small businesses.

Projects
Buy3Get1: Scraping. SEO. WordPress. (Freelance)
Freelance web project for a Cleveland-based business that sells used restaurant and general merchandise. When I joined, their website had no inventory page, no SEO structure, and no system in place for organizing products. I came in with zero experience using WordPress — but by the end, I had built a fully functional product system, implemented SEO best practices, and even created tools the client could continue using after handoff. I scraped and imported hundreds of listings from Facebook Marketplace, designed a clean UI using WordPress and Elementor, and set up an SEO foundation using Yoast. I also built a reusable spreadsheet template so the business could keep uploading and managing their products internally. One of the most rewarding moments was when the client told me a customer had come into the store and asked about a specific item they had seen on the new inventory page. That’s the kind of real-world impact I aim for with every project.
Intel Sustainability Project (SQL)
Used SQL to analyze Intel’s repurposed device data and uncover trends in energy savings and carbon reduction. Explored how device age, type, and region impact sustainability. Delivered actionable insights to improve Intel’s environmental strategy.
Data Job Survey Dashboard
An interactive Power BI dashboard analyzing global survey responses related to data jobs. It explores topics such as career entry difficulty, work-life balance, job satisfaction, age demographics, country distribution, favorite programming languages, and average salary. Includes dynamic visualizations for insights across regions and roles.
Car Rental Landing Page (React)
A modern, responsive car rental landing page built with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. It uses Axios to fetch and display vehicle data dynamically from an external API. The layout is clean and user-friendly, featuring smooth component-based interactions and a polished front-end design.
